Self-Publishing Panel

Speakers: Victoria Roberts, Sheridan Jeane, Casey Clipper

In the ever changing world of publishing, self-publishing in romance is now a viable and thriving form of getting your romance novel out there to be read. Romance readers fully embrace the indie author, snatching up their novels like a buffet of chocolate. But is it for you? Are there questions about self-publishing that you want the honest, hard-core truth answers? Are you on the fence about whether or not to self-publish? Do you want an in-depth look at the world of self-publishing and what it takes to make it work for you? Get the answers to your questions from hybrid author Victoria Roberts, who will discuss meeting the demands of working for a publisher and self-publishing. Author Sheridan Jeane, who will discuss self-publishing in the Victorian genre. And Casey Clipper, who will discuss working full time, managing a home, and self-publishing her contemporary romance novels.

Melt Method

Speaker: Tonya Ford

How many authors live with pain? (Especially when you fall in showers in NYC? (no joke, it happened)) Whether it’s sciatica, hip pain, lumbar pain, knee pain, status post surgery, or chronic pain, any type of pain can interrupt your creative juices. Learn how to manage that pain through the Melt Method without the aid of prescription drugs or over-the-counter medication.

*Those wishing to participate in the actual stretching part of the class are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing – yoga pants/lounge pants/sweat pants, a shirt that won’t expose the girls if it falls up or to the side, socks that you won’t mind everyone seeing, and make sure to drink plenty of water as well as bring water with you. If you have a yoga mat or two, please bring them with you to share with a non-yoga mat member.

Join in this panel discussion with bloggers from the Pittsburgh area. Ever wonder how a blogger decides on what to review? Or what catches their eye? How do they go about reviewing a novel and their process? How do you approach a blogger to ask for a review or to ask them to promote your release, sale, or novel? How do they see the world of romance novels and what trends are they noticing? Ask anything you want or need to know from this panel of bloggers, who are willing to be an open book and give authors their insights from an outside perspective.
